Since 1993, the Eaglecrest Residents’ Association (ERA) has been working to enhance the quality of life of residents in the Eaglecrest area of Qualicum Beach.
The ERA was created to represent the community when a commercial
development was proposed for Eaglecrest. Having organized representation to advocate for residents was effective and the development did not go ahead.
For almost 50 years, the golf course has been valuable green space and served the social and recreational needs of Eaglecrest and the greater Oceanside area.
This past year, with uncertainty hanging over the community about the future of the golf course, the ERA worked hard to keep members informed and be a strong voice for the community. Now that the Town has
purchased the golf course lands, community representation will continue to be important to ensure that the voices of Eaglecrest residents are heard as the Town moves forward with the proposed revisioning.
